Practice Your Pitch, This Thursday at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
Bonus Content This Week: How to Promote Regenerative Agriculture, with a focus on Promoting Healthy Soil.
This week in PRACTICE YOUR PITCH, we have a special feature: How to Promote Regenerative Agriculture, not least of all how to explain the benefits of healthy soil.
We will also talk about how to talk about …
How to build healthy soil, and
What’s in Healthy Soil
See below for details.
Practice Your Pitch is a group of ecosystem advocates who wish to practice their advocacy skills. We meet weekly for 90 minutes via Zoom on Thursdays at 10:00 AM Eastern time, US.
We believe that ecosystems and water cycles are the key to solving the climate crisis. If that seems like a stretch for some, we welcome anyone who has an ecosystem to promote, support or protect, including forests, grasslands, wetlands, waterways and —THIS WEEK—regenerative farms.
If you would like to join us, here is the Zoom link.

THIS WEEK
==> The HOW, the WHY and the WHAT of healthy soil.
WHY we should even want healthy soil
WHAT is in healthy soil and
HOW to make your soil healthy
Here’s the WHY
Did you know … ?
Healthy soil prevents flooding.
Healthy soil prevents drought
Healthy soil prevents erosion.
And healthy soil delivers nutrients to the plant, such that the plant is
Resilient in the face of hot and cold conditions
Resilient in the face of wet and dry conditions
And nutritious to the animals and humans who eat them.
PREMISES
Here are some of the premises of Practice Your Pitch. In other words, why are we even doing this? Why do we gather every week to Practice Your Pitch??
We believe …
That there is always room to improve our skills. Anything that’s done can be done better.
That it’s better to be prepared and not have an opportunity than to have an opportunity and not be prepared.
That if we practice, we can 10x our skills and thereby 10x our impact.
That practice is fun.
That through practice we build community.
That through practice we build our knowledge, as well as our rhetoric, which means our choice of words.
Mark Twain said: The difference between the right word and the almost right word is like the difference between a lightning bolt and a lightning bug. Let’s choose our words skillfully. If we can take our powerful message and find even more powerful words, then we will be agents for transformational change.
