Is that a hint of optimism I sense, when you write that “we could reverse the loss of plant biomass”?
Because we could certainly (hypothetically) try to do that, but do you think it is remotely feasible that we both will and can do that?
Btw what you are describing is Jevon’s paradox, a sad empirical fact deeply rooted in human behaviour and our dominant, entrenched cultures with no possible escape route. (I assume you are familiar with JP, but just in case you weren’t).
There is much more to our polycrisis and meta-crisis than all the catastrophic checkmates you describe here. Are you collapse-aware? Maybe see my blog if not.
Cliff, thank you. This is extremely valuable. Please send me anything else you think I might like at nhhagan@gmail.com. Seriously, I was astounded. But I’m also confused as to who are the voices on the audio. Do you know?
ok we also 1st had a regular article and study for readers, but we heard from readers that got lost in the weeds of the depth of science involved here then lost interest.
So with AI's help we synthesized and integrated all the science and information we collected from existing literature and our data, put it in the AI machinery, and added questions that could be posed in a podcast approach. This kept the less scientifically minded engaged and not bored reading just facts. After setting this up, then choosing voice overs, we reviewed everything to be sure AI did not misrepresent our original article. AI gave us voice choices.

Hi Cliff, interesting podcast, One could also add in relation to the fungal and bacterial partnerships with both land based biomass (fire in Siberia) and ocean based algal blooms (excess fertilizer runoff) how the changes in ice nucleating particles can have abnormally high interrelations in regards to climatic variations. Fog in Siberia and one in 500y floods we are experiencing in parts of Australia while other areas are creating dust storms from drought. The low and high latitude regions are of particular interest as they have the least energy daily flux and so these other inputs I would assume would have a much higher impact. Thanks for keeping your research free

Hello Theodore, appreciate your feedback. It's time we drag scientists out of their half blinded silos. here is a little more detail with more to come later.https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZxlzS5Zpemi2OaEaAQohhdCpCt085TzJI0X
